Vulnerable populations in need of support, food, clothing, transitional safe homes.
Help for Life will play an important role in helping children thrive and grow into adults who, in turn, can help build a thriving nation. Help for life allows people, groups and churches to meet the needs of people with food, clothing, educational supplies, medical care and Christian teaching. Our goal is to develop a complete program of a holistic model of child development that meets the needs of a child from birth to early adulthood, allowing him or her to become a fully realized Christian adult.
Sharing Institute for Health, Family Health, Health Brigades, Ambulatory Care Center
Help for Life support the IPS Institute for Health in Cartagena, Colombia. IPS provides healthcare for people who are otherwise unable to pay for their care. The patients or their families need to provide many of the basic necessities such as bandages, antiseptics, bed mats, food, et. Help for Life also will support healthcare mission trips into areas that have no healthcare providers otherwise. The goal is to eventually provide a full ambulatory care center for people who cannot reach existing facilities. Each of these will allow Help for Life to minister to those who need it the most.
Education about sexual abuse, teenage scholarships, psychology for kids.
Help for Life will support many different educational opportunities. Help for Life supports children’s’ classes concerning sexual abuse, provides student scholarships for adolescents, the adoption of a grade school or soup kitchen, providing child psychology for children with disabilities or deficits in learning. Assisting children in public schools where there isn’t any other assistance available such as rural areas will be a primary focus of Help for Life. Tutoring for students that need help to be able to understand their class work.
Encouraging sports and teaching about arts: dance, painting, theater, music.
We at Help for Life realize that there is more to life than reading, writing and other educational areas. In particular, we recognize that some students excel in sports or artistic endeavors. Not all children are able to afford the materials to participate in their area of excellence. Help for Life will support the students by supplying the materials needed, the cost of any outside classes and other costs that may be needed.
Teaching live skills for development, crafts, trades, business skills.
Help for Life provides for adults as well as children. We support programs that teach life skills to adults who may not have been able or capable to learn earlier in their life. We also help people to learn crafts (such as sewing, knitting, woodworking, etc.) and trades (electrician, plumbing, basic computer maintenance skills, etc.). For people who have ambitions to own their own business, we will support them in learning the necessary skills to actually run a business.
Helping Single mothers, heads of households, pregnant teenagers.
Help for Life has compassion for all life. We support pregnant women and teenagers to bring their pregnancy to full term. Once the child is born, we support single parents by providing assistance through classes and encouragement. We help families financially where necessary. The entire organization will work to guide the family to as much success as we are capable.
